Ryan is a suspect in a murder investigation of Josh Avery. After a listening device is found in his phone Darren Vogel (his attorney) is the first suspect but then Horatio recognised that it came from MDPDand that Samantha (Josh's girlfriend) planted it in the day before and is now a suspect. Eddie Coaster was arrested for drug possession but Josh took the drugs from him and into his boat. Natalia and Frank go to the boat but find a man dead and a shooter had started a fire, destroying evidence and killing the only man who could lead the way to the killer..He kidnaps Samanth. Samantha drives over a bridge killing Eddie and eventually going to jail.
