Bol Bachchan (2012)
7/10
twin splitting comedy
7 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The movie begins with a disclaimer from Amitabh Bachchan that he is not a part of it. But its a delight to see him rocking in the prelude. Especially so, with the extravagant and loud background, which pulls you right into the plot.

There is no tussle for appeal between Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan. They have the best chemistry, seen after a long time. In fact, Devgan lets Abhishek have his moments of some very gay dancing. Abhishek creates some of his Dostana magic, and it does not go waste. And both of them suit very well to Rohit Shetty's characteristic but awesome and amplified fight sequences.

The other characters too, have done well. The whole cast responds well to the story, with each one's personal touch to their roles. This helps in evoking the audience, even despite, the weak plot.

Despite being a comic flick, the movie expects a certain intellect from the audience, to see the connection and word play which the makers wish to create. And here in lies the beauty of a well-made comedy.

The action and car sequences are typical Rohit Shetty stuff. However, even if you know they are coming, one cannot have enough of them. In fact, the only let down in this movie is that it ends too quickly and abruptly.

This is a clean comedy film. It is a must watch for those who enjoyed Golmaal, new and old.
