Review of Hatred

Revenge: Hatred (2014)
Season 3, Episode 13
The most fun I have had in a loong time
20 January 2014
(Kind of) showing Emily's true colors to the Graysons was the smartest thing to do to the show. It has given them another rhythm. Even though Patrick and Daniel could improve their acting skills, the plot as a whole was so much fun - so much that even Margaux became a little bit more interesting by showing some spine. Even Niko and Aiden were somehow relevant, making me intrigued. I am honestly interested to see how that will unfold (in small doses, of course).

But the best of all was to see Madeleine being the great actress she is. We had not seen these contrasts since season 1. What a great actress! This is obviously not a show to be taken serious, but she performs and draws you in. If only her found son had been at her level.

The changes in Emily's condition might or might not work. So far it seems like they will, but we can never tell after that messy season 2 that we just can not forget.

I guess I'm enjoying to see this as the soapy fun it was meant to be- and I guess that that cliffhanger a la "Dinasty" could be an indication of where the show is going and the devices it will fully embrace. (I can't wait to see the mess the house is going to be after the break)
