Although not near the level of enjoyment can be had with this episode as in older series but it certainly is a step in the right direction for family guy on the whole.
Like in most long running US comedy series' the creativity and the overall humour of the show has drastically decreased. I have noticed in the past three series the show has become less and less like the creative and at some points not funny in the slightest. The stories have become nonsensical, and don't allow for any character or story progression at all. In my opinion they need to create some kind of on going story over a few episodes to keep fans interested. I know they tried this with the story about Brian's death, but it wasn't executed nearly well enough.
But like I have stated previously this episode brings back some of the random but humorous cutaways, and outrageous moments.
