Remake of Woh Saat Din
18 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
SLB after the offbeat Khamoshi which flopped returned with this film, The film was a huge grosser, The film also resulted in real life romance between Salman and Aishwarya. The film is a remake of Woh Saat Din(1983) which starred ANil, Padmini Kolhapure and Naseeruddin Shah. The film starts off well, the first half is more lighthearted and slowly love kindles between Sallu and Aishwarya which ends on a sour note The second half focuses on Ajay and Ash and slowly Ajay going to search for Salman, whih may not appear too convincing but yet it's well handled There are few goofs like Hungary is passed off as Italy, also some scenes are overtly melodramatic(A regular in SLB films)

Direction by SLB is good Music by Ismail Darbar is good, be it Nimbooda, Aankhon KI Gustakiyan, Dhol Bhaje, Chand Chupa all songs are fab, Jhonka Hawa ka is also fab

Salman Khan is superb in romantic portions, a bit too hammy in dramatic scenes but as always he was likable in such roles Aishwarya Rai is good as Nandini, she was cast against her miss world image and acts well Ajay Devgan is perfect in his serious role and is superb, he won more accolades for his work then Sallu and Aish. Amongst rest Vikram Gokhale is good, Smita Jaykar is good too, Vinay Pathak has a small role, Rajeev Verma and others are all good.
