Nebbie e delitti (2005– )
Not too bad, but definitely not good enough

Warning: Spoilers
what we got here is a tired looking middle aged Italian inspector, a loner who thought his wife was in love with him before she died in some mysterious problem during pregnancy, but later in the 2nd episode turned out that's not the case. this cigar chain-smoking (trying so hard to give the viewers a look so aloof, deep, well thoughtful?) guy was not an energetic person and his skill of suppressing the culprits when he tried to catch them right on the spot were so lame and so laughable even he was the only person who held the gun aiming at the suspects. we saw him been kicked on the tugboat by a suspect when he held a gun in the 1st episode, then we saw he lost his gun again and been kicked viciously by the suspect in the parking garage. his weak self-defense skills were such a disgusting image that only made me wonder how this guy could become an inspector. by his brain? yeah, maybe. this series is a very slow going drama series, the only interesting part is that he always got a soft spot for the victims and he himself is also a romantic fool. the 3rd episode's screenplay was about a murder case of five women from the catholic school, the culprit is a female lawyer who weirdly connected with this detective's lover. there's no way that this two women would mixed up together but it did. the final scene was this lame detective threw down his gun and begged for the mercy of his lover's life. he was facing the kidnapper/murderer, while there were at least two or three cops aiming their guns behind the murderer. the scene was so disgustingly stupid. then we saw when the episode came to an end, the guy accompanied his lover to visit her mother in Russia, the jet took off and the subtitles showed that the captain announced they were on a boeing 747, yet the plane was obviously a mcdonald douglas aircraft.

this 'fog and crimes' is just an okay but also very lame detective TV series, only a little bit better than what the MHz international channel is replaying now: the most boring 'Don Matteo', a catholic priest ridiculously involved in lot of murder cases. Italian TV drama series are simply far inferior to those drama series in the same genre out of Scandinavian countries, because the main characters are always too lame to be likable, and also got a sidekick who was better than what we saw a clown-like jerk policeman in 'Detective Montalbano (Il commissario Montalbano) 1999-2008'.
