I think it's possibly the best comedy of the decade. It's a modern Seinfeld with similar offbeat characters but with much more boldness, reality, and no canned laughter. Yes, it's cringe-worthy at times yet more often than not you will find yourself loving some of these characters. I live in Australia and can honestly say I'd never heard of Jim before legit. It was great to see the wonderful Magda Szubanski as Jim's Mum (that's how we say it down here)in Series 2. I am now a true fan and I'd like to thank all involved for tackling the REAL issues of modern life head on, leaving me in stitches at times. Jim at the baseball in Series one comes to mind. If you have an open mind, this is the modern comedy for you and is streets ahead of anything I've seen in recent years. Be warned though, it will not appeal to everyone!
