So Close...But Not quite
7 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The concept is great. The two main actors are splendid. Some of the dialogue is quite good- especially for the male lead. I do not buy that suddenly in a non-nondescript moment they start talking out loud to each other and that they turn it off and on like a phone call. They should have had moments of parallel that brought them together. There should be some condition- like being drunk or in a stressful situation that randomly sparked the connection. They should have had quiet moments were one was feeling the other one...without making their presence known...like during sex. It feels a bit over done to give her a rich but terrible husband- while he is dirt poor and such the perfect charmer. The fact the they get in the most impossible to escape situation and pull the happy ending out of their ass was too much for me. Yes...I feel the build up- it has an exciting feeling- but I think I would have had him shot and cut her head off with the train. I do not like textbook happy pulled out of the ass. Drive off the cliff like in Thelma and Louise...Something.
