So let's agree that Jay Baruchel is weirdly funny, no matter where you see him it's somehow the same character of the socially awkward guy who likes to fit in and have a normal relationship.
Here the scenario is the same with the concept of making some of the events on the show "impossible" to be funny like in the movie "This Is the End" devils and dragons and blah blah ..
But was a bit funny, here the events is kinda the same. The idea itself is genius and the "literal" concept is present.
The casting is fine , Eric André is really funny dude. the cinematography is skillful. honestly tho, i don't know if the audience would bear to watch it and watching the same idea over and over again, i don't if i can.!! that doesn't mean it wouldn't be Hilarious sometimes but in others it would be repetitive.
