Warning: Spoilers
I've seen this one a few days ago, and I'm still trying to figure out what I really think of it. An important moment to me is when he insists that 'this' (his act, as it were) was hís invention and his alone. It's an almost unbelievable life to most (to me), but his dedication to this lifestyle is simply impressive. Plús a candid look into a scene or world which you would normally never get to witness.

The discussion about Sheree being a bitch or not... I don't know what to think of it. If to Bob she was really that, he would have left her, wouldn't he? On the other hand, some scenes showed her relentless: when she keeps hitting him when he wants her to stop (though it seems that such 'negotiations' are going on all the time between a dom and a sub), when she claims his inheritance, or when in the end he wants out of their 'bargain' while she is unwilling.

It was in any case a fascinating documentary, and Bob Flanagan and all of his candour certainly got to me - the death scene is on the one hand awful, but also very powerful. I'm sure it will stay with me for a long time, if not forever. The final scene (the images and a poem read by Bob) was perfect as an epitaph.

9 out of 10.
