"Hollow Point" is a difficult film to judge. It is that rare movie that tries to be an action comedy, ramping up the over the top violence, while still trying to elicit chuckles. Things are further complicated by the uneasy mixture of slapstick with "dark comedy". Perhaps the film might have benefited by being a little less scattered. Nevertheless, the characters are likable, and development is acceptable. There are explosions that seem extremely gratuitous, but that is normal for this vintage. Don't go into this expecting either a great action film or a riotous comedy, instead you get sort of a hybrid that is mildly entertaining. - MERK
