Pasion de Gavilanes is regarded as one the best telenovelas of all time and it lives up to its title. The story follows the Reyes brothers: Juan, Oscar and Franco (played by Mario Cimarro, Juan Alfonso Baptista and Michel Brown respectively) and her pursuit for vengeance for their youngest sister, Libia after she commits suicide following a fallout with the Elizondo family when it is revealed that she and the owner of the Elizondo ranch, Bernando were having an affair. The brothers decide to disguise themselves as workers in the ranch with the help of the Elizondo's main maid, Eva so they can infiltrate within the ranch and destroy the family. The way of doing this: seduce Bernando's three daughters: Norma, Sara and Jimena (played by Danna Garcia, Natasha Klauss and Paola Rey respectively) into loving them. However, this plan quickly goes haywire when the boys actually end up falling in love with the girls. Trouble ensues, problems arise and a whole boat of revelations and secrets come up shore.
Every single episode of this lovely telenovela never feels boring or contrived. The pacing and camera action is wonderful. Each actor gives it their all in the roles they are assigned, main and supporting. The story is solid and quite original. What I like the most about this show is the fact that every character is not defined by good or bad qualities in the beginning, everyone is faulted. Even though the telenovela is nearly 200 episodes, the show will possibly go by in a quick amount of time because of its effectiveness to keep the audience going every episode.
I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of romantic and sexy fanfare, dramatically strong storytelling or to anybody who is a fan of any of the actors.
