"Deutschland 83" is probably one of the most intense television programs I have seen in a long time. It is quite the thrill and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
"Deutschland 83" is the story of a young East German border guard (Martin Rauch) who is sent to West Germany by his mother's sister (also a spy) to infiltrate NATO. He is given a new identity (Moritz Stamm) and works as a general's aide-de-camp
There are also some interesting side stories, nearly as (if not as) intense as Martin's story.
All-in-all, watch this program. It is an amazing TV show and I am very glad that it was chosen to be the first German-language program to air in the US.
