Dominion: Mouth of the Damned (2015)
Season 2, Episode 2

Better and better
21 July 2015
I cannot stress enough how much better this show has become after just two episodes. New characters, new sets, new adventures. I could not be more pleased with the set up for these characters.

Claire is badass and making decisions that perhaps last season would have offended her sensibilities. I am really happy to see her operating independently from "the chosen one" and doing the things she considers to be right to ensure the continued survival of her people. Roxanne McKee is badass this season and I could not be more pleased.

Same can be said for Arika. Gone are the flowing gowns and slinky satins. Arika is ready to go to war and seems to have placed her bet with Claire. Love the women working together and especially love seeing the always phenomenal Anthony Head squirm under the combined muster of the ladies.

Michael is on a very interesting journey too. Having killed Becca last season, I am very interested in understanding where his character is going. Both he and Gabriel are desperately trying to find God, to hear him speak to them, to see their father returned. There is something heartbreaking about their plight and the parallel to the broken relationship between Michael and Alex.

Speaking of Alex, I have always been a fan of his relationship with Noma. Although the lovers bit seems to be put on hold, its clear they care deeply for each other and the chemistry between them is palpable. New character Pete also offers fantastic comic relief, adding a new dimension to the tone of the show.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention Simon Merells. Julian is a rockstar as the leader of New Delphi. I am so intrigued by his character. I want and need more!

Excited to see where we go next.
