A great director in the making

Warning: Spoilers
"A Field of Honor" sounds like John Huston World-War-2 documentary movie, but it is really the second movie in the career of Robert Zemeckis. He made this one when he was roughly 20, back in the early 1970s. It is not a great film by any means, but looking at Zemeckis' age it is tolerable and there are 2 or 3 good moments in here. You certainly have to watch this from a comedic standpoint as it's all a parody on the seriousness on army life, just like the film's title. I am not familiar with any of the actors in here, but it is obvious Zemeckis still had a long way to go until the "back to the Future" trilogy or the Academy Award winning "Forrest Gump". All in all, this one is only worth for completionists of the director. Everybody else can skip.
