Cracked me up!
8 December 2015
OK, if you're a fan of the video games, this is a must. As a stand alone movie, it's pretty terrible, but in a funny way.

Jesse Metcalfe plays pseudo-reporter Chase, stuck behind the lines during a government evacuation in East Mission, Oregon, during a zombie apocalypse. Desperately trying to make a name for himself, he goes around trying to "Break the Story," while avoiding being eaten alive by zombies, or murdered to death by marauding villains.

Okay, so the premise of the film isn't anything special. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ZOMBIE FILM. The only thing that makes it stand out as a title is it's relationship to the video games.

The surprising aspect of the film is it's subtle humor. It actually has some hilarious jokes, outside of the main story line. The actors really tried to throw themselves into their roles, but actually they clash with the hilarity of what's going on around them. Rob Riggle even makes a guest appearance as 1st survivor Frank West. It doesn't matter that he doesn't look or sound like him, but hey, he's pretty funny.

From the ridiculous weapons, predictable plot twists, and some absolutely hilarious zombie moments (the baby bjorn was the best!), it's worth a watch.
