4/10
Len Lye as usual

Warning: Spoilers
"Trade Tattoo" is a 1937 animated short movie by filmmaker Len Lye from new Zealand. This one runs for 5.5 minutes roughly and thus it is slightly longer than some of his other works. It also felt a little bit less funky in terms of the music. Other than that, it is pretty much the same though. the animation consists of colorful objects mostly and here and there Lye included some letters to send a written message to his audience. Overall, a good watch for everybody who loves experimental (animation) movies, but sadly this does not include myself. I did not hate it, but i also was not impressed to an extent where I would recommend this one here. All in all, a thumbs down. And I still have no idea what the title means.
