don't show up at my door or I'll shoot

Geoff (Tony Goldwyn) is with one of his mistresses. His wife Deb (Kate Burton) calls their couple friends Tom (Griffin Dunne) and Julie (Annette O'Toole). Deb's fears about her marriage infect Tom and Julie's relationship. A drunken Geoff shows up in the middle of the night at their door with Heather/Heat (Gina Gershon).

This tries to be a deep and insightful look into marriage life. The dialog is bad. The arguing is unappealing, boring, and unconvincing. These characters don't feel real especially when they try to add little failed comedic moments. These characters are whiny, annoying, and I wouldn't want to be their friend. It does try to be sexy but it's too overwrought like a softcore porn. I don't understand why it's so hard to kick out the friend with his whore. Deb should divorce the bastard and take every dime. Everybody is so weak and weakly written. This is a waste of perfectly good actors.
