One of the best of the era
8 January 2017
Carving the white was for me, one of the best ski films of the early 1990's. As an avid snowboarder and skier, with long winters, we wore out several copies of the VHS tape watching it over and over. it was our default go-to ski movie to watch. Groovy tunes, great unpretentious skiing, wonderful locations and an engaging story line.

While many of the filming methods in this film are stock of the trade today, they were unique and breakthrough at the time. The Each sequence's music is well chosen to put the viewer in the mood for that segment, and the film ends each time with the desire to immediately watch it again.
