I have been a horror buff for 20 years, and was really excited when I saw this series start. It starts off with so much potential, and then... all of a sudden... we have over the top fake Hollywood sound effects (monsters growling and screaming out of a mouth which is hardly moving and sound effects ripped straight out of a video game) and situations which are so stupid that you fall out of the mood, and then the fake Hollywood acting kicks in. Sad.
The original exorcist was scary... it felt real. Not only did it feel real, it scared the crap out of you. What I find scary in movies is situations which are so realistic that they terrify you. This series reminds me of CSI Cyber for Demons. In my opinion, it is a piece of garbage and feels like someone trying to cash in on a popular franchise.
