I'm Giving It a Shot

This first episode sets everything in motion. A young woman who is in shock, leaves an apartment building. She is covered in blood and is eventually picked up by the police and brought in to be questioned. She is stunned and is saying nothing. We now go back six weeks to an enterprising but somewhat naive college graduate, who is deciding where to ply her trade. She ends up in the camp of the Glen Close character, Patty Hewes. She is confident, smart, and ruthless litigator. She strong arms one guy into settling for 150 million dollars. But now she has an incredibly height profile case. It's a sort of Bernie Madoff case (the man is played by Ted Danson) where her group of clients were taken to the cleaners when they fell for his promises. There are some heavyweight activities when hundreds of millions of dollars are at stake. This first episode implies that Close, herself, is up to no good as the show ends. I'm interested to see if she becomes a positive figure.
