Letterman is the king of talk shows
13 May 2017
For years David Letterman has brought a brand of comedy, innovation, intelligence to Late Night that is second to none. His shows were a treat to watch, you never got bored and were entertained. Dave delivered first class stand up or monologues day after day and showed hilarious segments. My favorite will forever be the Great Moment in Presidential Speeches featuring the comical George W Bush. He brought the biggest names in show business and politics and always ran respectable interviews with the perfect dose of humor. It is hard to keep track of the comedic innovations the Late Show introduced such as people randomly interrupting his show to insult Letterman. His memorable top 10 and his frequent self depreciating humor simply endeared this brilliant man to audiences.

This show was everything and late night at its best. The new shows are good too and what you expect such as hip new segments but they do not have the charm, class and wit that Letterman delivered for years. Letterman was a joy to watch during holiday seasons and great to celebrate an occasion with.

I was sad like millions when he retired but I guess all good things come to an end.
