But I would argue, also pretty on the inside. While I'm not a Final Fantasy fan or someone who has played the games, I can say that I was more than entertained watching this. As far as friends are concerned who are more into this, they said there are a few things fans might pick up, but since this is a new story, a new tale, it's not something you have to have great knowledge of.
The visuals are more than stunning too and the story is told in a fashion that leaves no one behind. Sometimes that can be a "flaw" for some, watching an animated movie that just is all over the place. This is easier that way. Still a lot of action, a lot of suspense and a really good build up.
