Nothing too spectacular

Warning: Spoilers
"Inspector Gadget's last case" is a late addition to the Inspector Gadget series. In it, Gadget and his car are going through rough times when he gives up on his old Mobil, which is bought by the new but shady rising star of the investigator scene in town. Will anyone be able to stop the physically transformed criminals and the evil Dr. Claw?

I am not really an expert when it comes to Inspector Gadget, in fact this is the first film of him that I ever saw, as far as I can remember. Thus, I can not say if the movie fits into the series, I will focus on it as an independent piece. Unfortunately, a lot of the times the gags are not really working. Some of them are so old that it's hard to bear (Yellow Snow.. giggles). The plot itself is not bad, even though it is highly predictable. Still the film doesn't get boring and although I found Gadget quite rude, I am sure that some children will be able to identify with parts of the script. Some of the jokes they won't understand, because there are some references especially for adult viewers but there are surely worse movies for children.

All in all I am not really convinced, though. It was a nice watch, not more, and I don't see myself watching this a second time.
