For People who Still Believe in Love
5 August 2017
While most of the people have adopted a practical lifestyle and approach, some, may be a tiny minority of people still believe in love. Thank you Imtiaz Ali, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma for keeping their hopes alive. It's a simple movie about love, just the old school love. Sad that we've come so far that the idea of two people falling in love and having a clichéd happy ending is boring. Imtiaz is not at his best in the movie, I agree and it could have had a shorter second half, but for most part of the movie, I had a stupid smile on my face because it felt good. I love the movie where I feel good and happy because people hardly make them anymore. I loved the acts and whoever said that SRK should stop doing such movies can go to hell coz he was terrific in his role. I loved many dialogues and messages in the movie. My favorite would be 'Express yourself because that's what's your role. What the other person thinks about it is their job. You have to do yours and they will do theirs.' and that 'if something is gone from your life, it is not necessary that you have to forget it. It's not necessarily bad if it's gone and even if it hurts you because for that period, you were actually happy, may be the happiest you have ever felt.' PS, if we can keep watching the same superheroes defeating the same super villains who are keen to destroy the world again and again, if we can watch some robots fight each other every two years, if we don't mind the same overdone visual effects layered on top of every movie, we certainly don't mind watching you recreate the same theme in your movies.
