A dangerous serial killer finding his victims via hitchhiking. Emmett Myers (William Talman) poses as a hitchhiker then robs and kills the good samaritans that give him a ride. When he hitches a ride with Roy Collins (Edmund O'Brien) and Gilbert Bowen (Frank Lovejoy) he takes them deep into Mexico for his final getaway.
The movie was one long hostage situation with a brute of a man that perpetually used his gun to coerce the two hostages. The hostages tried to stay alive while devising an escape. It was a tense movie as far as 50's tense movies go. Overall it was decent.
