The first few episodes of this new season have demonstrated a number of things, none of them good. The new showrunner Chibnall, for example, can't write. Really, his stories are clunky with really bad dialogue and with just a ton of npc propaganda. Anyone who wants to view a well researched and thought out investigation into Chibnalls inability to write should check out 'nitpix' chibnall episode on youtube...but I digress...
This story, like the others, contained really bad acting, really bad dialogue, a plot that made no sense and..you guessed it...a ton of npc propaganda. And as for the new Dr.....Jodie Whitaker thinks that the way to play the part of the Dr is to stare at things with a goofy expression, overact to the point of pantomime level campness and run around like an autistic child. It really is a shame, i've been a fan since 1986 and to see this show sink so low is just awful. We would all be better off if they just cancelled it.
