I don't care if you've seen other Bakshi movies, they do not prepare you for this.
A vivid phantasmagoria of cultural icons to tell the story of contemporary race relations.
It's sassy, vulgar, funny and brutal. I'm not sure if this movie is quite as deep as it seems to think it is but I want to believe it is. Frequently surreal and sordid yet strangely real in its brutality. It has numerous asides and the point it's trying to make isn't always clear right away but it keeps you intrigued for its duration.
You'll never forget it.
