This movie is funny but I notice a lot of points where certain (cough) people in the industry would rather not have it shown.
A young kid trying to break into the business side of the industry sees the potential for deals fly out I'd his hands. Without money or power he is reduced to reading screenplays and serving coffees to his producer bosses.
Out of frustration at the impossibility of making a deal Jordan writes a screenplay called " new suit" . On a whim ge chides his ibdustry friends about a dude naned Strawberry, very hit.
He jokes that New Suit is the center of a bidding war. Then at work his bosses demand he get the script written by..... by a guy named Strawberry. This "nothing screenplay" gets picked up on the rumor mill. Everybody wants the screenplay of " new suit" by this hot ticket writer that doesn't exist.
Jordan laughs until his ex girlfriend steals the book and tells Hollywood that she represents Strawberry at her agenting firm. There IS no Strawberry but he's on the hook now as the biggest players in Hollywood converge to make the insider megadeal for... New Suit. You'll squirm and snicker guessng who is supposed to be whom.
