I find this documentary to be a very good and detailed overview of the Greco Persian Wars. But, completely unnecessary and grotesque re-enactments almost made me stop watching. I did get used to them after some time and they are not all completely terrible. Some parts were overdramatized and parallels with 9/11 were uncalled for and out of place. Series often seems like a wannabe History channel movie with drama, repeated information, loud effects, re-enactments...all the stuff that makes History channel documentaries unwatchable.
But, as I said, information is really very good which makes it worth watching
