I just watched this movie because I'm a die hard fan of Mickey Rourke, but I have to say that even with Rourke in a lead role, this film is extremely boring. First of all, a handsome and sexy muscular stud isn't the best choice to play a saint, and Rourke is never convincing in his role here.
The direction of Liliana Cavani is uninspired and the movie looks like a typical made for TV religious drama.
I never thought that I would be bored by a movie where gorgeous Mickey Rourke appears nude, but Cavani got it. The monotonous soundtrack by Vangelis doesn't help at all.
If you aren't a fan of Rourke, and isn't interested in mediocre religious flicks don't check it.
