A better copy of Elif, still bad

Warning: Spoilers
If you've seen ''Elif''(2014), you will recognize the work of the same producers here. The setting is pretty much the same in the beginning. Even certain Elif actors are recast in pretty much the same roles-namely the villains. The main leads make a nice couple and the boy Omer is cute-that's the only thing that makes this series somewhat watchable. The characters, excepting the villains, are just plain dumb-there is no nicer way to put it. The villains do bad things to them, and they forget all about that, falling into the same traps again. The story, in general, is boring. What seemed to be about a father looking for his son and falling in love in the process, is really a story about two couples-Meryem and Levent, Ayse and Cemil, couples that allow others to separate them and then cry about it. Seriously, the show could have been over in much less than 166 episodes. To top it all of, the ending seems rushed-the villains are taken care of in 5 minutes and imprisoned for no good reason-they should be out in no time since there's no proof for much of what they did. Levent found out Omer is his son at the end of the penultimate episode and they got like, one father-son scene. Asli, who was pregnant for half the show, lost the baby in the last episode so that she would be taken care of and punished for her bad deeds. She was pushed down some stairs-who didn't see that coming. Lazy writing, not to mention predictable. Meryem's family-her dad and aunt, who were awful for much of the show are, however, forgiven. Probably cuz they're related to the main lead. Dogan, who was a maniac and a true stalker, Tekin's henchman, is also forgiven. He even gets a rich girlfriend whose issues with her father are left unresolved. Their relationship is also rushed. I learned my lesson with this show-avoid the work of Elif producers, no matter how nice the series seems. All in all, a huge disappointment and a waste of time once you realize the couples really had no reason to be apart for so long. Meryem and Levent's wedding cannot cover the failures of this show, no matter how hard they try.
