Well, after reading all those positive reviews I was expecting a really good crime drama but the truth is that I didn't enjoy this movie at all. It's not really about the acting though, Tom Wilkinson is a good actor, Emily Watson isn't really a favorite of mine and never will be, certainly not now that I read she's a Arsenal fan, but overall the acting was okay. It's the story that is very predictable but above all quite boring and quite the opposite of how anybody of us would act if we were in their shoes. It just doesn't make much sense, of any of the characters, the guilty ones or the innocent ones. I don't get why people would find this to be a good movie, with a predictable beginning, a middle that makes no sense, and a boring ending.
