Ouch! A Macedonian woman who survives harsh conditions(no electricity or running water) gathers honey from hives she tends and then sells at a market in Skopje. About halfway through this sunny documentary, a noisy family with screaming children arrive; shattering the quiet existence of the beekeeper. Things go from bad to worse as the interlopers make a large dent in the woman's livelihood. Meanwhile, to add to the drama, the protagonist must also take care of her 85 year-old severely ill mother. If you wish to be brought down to a level of absolute destitution for ninety minutes, here is your film. Otherwise, look for something more positive, such as The Two Popes, the overlooked best movie of the year.
