Mackie as Kovac is one of the worst casting decisions ever made.From melancholy and restrained nature of the Kovac in the first season we got all 80's bad ass antihero Kovac interpretation by Mackie.
On the top of that Netflix made sure to throw in some same sex scenes to make sure to appeal to niche audience as well and what you get is season 2 that is bad in every way.
First season was solid 8 and had so much potential to build on it unfortunately that didn't happen instead we got sf flick with retro 80's character (think jean Claude Van Dammed, Chuck Norris and Dolph Lundregen).
Another funny thing is that in the future they don't have any cameras at all. Killings are happening in night clubs and millioner houses and although they can extract DNA in the split of the second, camera system is beyond the reach of their technological level. How to explain that nobody has footage of anything happening in the public places and nobody ask for camera footage to be reviewed.
