Really makes the characters work

My overall rating of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"'s Season 8: 4/10

While the quality of this episode is uneven (Sweet Dee's segments and performance honestly suck and are incredibly boring; and Frank's - while well-delivered - are not funny), it still very much has its moments, and really allows the 8-seasons-worth of character development to be reconsidered and play out in its full glory. The "special" format, with the action confined in one location and split into segments, without any parallel plots or pulling off any crazy schemes, while seemingly relatively common in the series at this point, is still something a bit fresher than the usual routine, and is worthy of additional praise.
