Slowly going downhill
4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I started watching in season 13 and the show has gradually gone downhill. When I started watching it seemed like the show was focused on the game and the choices the players had to make. I loved this show! For a long time this show was something I looked forward to every week. The last 2 or 3 seasons have been pretty mediocre.

The last season in particular got really stupid. It's pretty obvious the producers helped Mickey win the game. He was not given a penalty when he cheated on the Have Not rule on the 4th week. The show also attacked him on finale night for apparently being racist even though he did nothing racist the whole season. They tried to say because he nominated mostly people in minority groups to be banished in week 1 that he was racist. It was a GAME MOVE!! How is that racist to try to banish people that are bad for your game? They ruined his finale night and it was pathetic.

It's also pretty obvious that most of the players are only on there for publicity. If you look at the players' instagram accounts, they all have businesses they run. The players themselves also have become more unlikable. They used to be funny, smart, and entertaining, but in recent seasons everything has gotten so politically correct that they're just not as fun as they used to be. The show also ALWAYS uses the same mix of diversity. It's always a couple of black players, 1 or 2 LGBT, 1 Asian, 1 Latino, you know the deal. It pretty much is done to check off diversity boxes for corporate

I also think America should get a say in who wins the game. How can Paul lose 2 seasons in a row when clearly he was the better player over Nichole and Josh? Sometimes the worst players win and it just makes me not care about the endgame as much.

It's still pretty good just hopefully next season is an improvement on the most recent season.
