After watching this, I will be checking out more of Macon Blair's work. What a gem of a movie/story, that enveloped me immediately with the main protagonist's perception of our society, used black humour, and a delightfully ridiculous plot, based on what I would like to do if I could say what I want to say, and do what I want to do, when faced with other people's behaviour.
I saw this show up on Netflix a few weeks ago, and tried it on a lazy Sunday afternoon, only based on the actors, and not really expecting much. It has been a long, long time, since I have been drawn into the world of a movie, the way this one drew me in.
Reminded me of some of the Coen brother's films, but also, if you liked this, maybe check out, 1998's "Very Bad Things", and the underrated, 1996 film, "Head Above Water".
