Well well well. A certain character ate a bullet out of completely nowhere this episode. It genuinely made me physically jump when it happened because no one, I repeat no one would expect it to happen. At first I was somewhat annoyed because they treated his death like any other scene. But when you think about it, how lucky was Omar to make it as far as he did? I was always wondering why no one just capped him, and well that's exactly what ended up happening. It's a shame because I was looking forward to what I expected to be an exciting showdown between him and Marlo. I can only assume that his death was written in to make it look like Marlo's in the green. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets a surprise death too. As for the rest of the episode, it was solid. We got McNulty laid out bare here, first by the FBI profiler who pretty much got him down to a tee, and then at the end as he tries to reason with Beadie. I think there's no denying that he's a damaged, obsessive man, but that's what's made him one of the best characters on a show full of great characters. This case is almost up and I can't really predict how it will go. I just hope that the last couple of episodes are police work heavy because the other plot lines like the Sun and Mayor Carcetti are really slowing this season down
