Warning: Spoilers
Gotta be honest but I am a huge disaster buff and don't care what is the disaster faced. With that said I can say I've seen some pretty bad movie's and this one i can see had it's issues. Sinkholes are serious and a movie about them only seemed fitting only thing is how far do you go, who's in danger and what is about to be destroyed. Here Marti Gras is the intended target with hundred's of people in harm's way.

A expert on sinkholes, a City Hall worker and a pushy and cocky right hand man to the mayor are our main characters. Here age is the disaster because no one under the age of 32 would hold the power one of these has. The cocky Mayor Assistant is the odd one out. John Corbett as Matt seems outta place here as he does in many of his movies. He seems too young for the part at hand which hurts the movie. Brittany Daniel as Cindy looks more like a model than a City Hall worker. She who has a romantic relationship with Matt (Corbett) is very relevant. Then there's Allison played by Jessica Steen and I say, couldn't they find a screechier actress.

The story at hand is weak and unbelievable, and only gives us the obvious The hero The antagonist The love interest The only thing missing is the suspense and thrill of rooting for the hero.

It's a descent movie when nothing is on TV but not a crowd pleaser.
