A Place Among the Dead is unlike anything I've ever seen. Like any great piece of art, it is thought provoking and uses fact, fiction and the fantastical to encourage the viewer to examine the reflections of the film in their own lives. The conditioning and trauma we experience in our childhoods is something that is rarely discussed in our society and this film opens the door to much-needed conversations.
