Contrary to another reviewer, I didn't particularly like this episode and don't see it as one of the best of this season's. The unsub was dull and his "takedown" felt rushed and jarring.
The case definitely had unexpected turns but was never something that had me on the edge of my seat or that memorable either. Tara Lewis stands out here with great chemistry and compassion with Ruby.
I thought Rossi's subplot here was surprising, in a good way, to see his character growth in how he views relationships and romance. His proposal to Krystall was sweet and endearing, and the end shot with the lanterns was gorgeous.
If not for Rossi's proposal, this episode would not have been memorable or one to look forward to rewatching at all.
