Never mind the cynics, make your own mind about this. I'm not a huge fan of Ferrell - he can be terribly self-indulgent (and there are elements of that here), but when he gets it right he is very funny. Reilly is always good value. They make a great team in this, with some real belly laughs resulting (the accents especially made me guffaw - pronunciations reminiscent of the Gendarme in Brit sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!)
The plot is satisfying with a couple of neat surprises and a really good ending/coda.
It's exceedingly silly, knockabout fun. Put your brain in neutral and enjoy.
