This is an important movie for a number of reasons. It is a must-see for every guitarist and blues fan. It is a movie for anyone who cares about the roots of rock music. Finally, it is a reminder of just how horrific racism and bigotry were in the south in those days.
Also, every 'son of the south' (and daughter) should be encouraged to watch this film, because these attitudes, in the north but especially in the south still persist, sadly.
