Just another one of their terrible episodes that has a superficial investigation, that tries to use too much of the private lives of the cops to prop up the interest of the episode. The problem is the Palm Beach police characters are not fascinating at all. IMO, the characters are only killing time until they inevitably solve the
crime at the end of this episode. Most of the credit (or blame) goes to the creator (Stephen Cannell of this series), because he wrote this script.
Bottom line, I believe they have cut the budget, just so they can keep the show on the air
