Unconditional Love?
14 December 2020
After the first season, I looked for reviews and was surprised to see how many woman thought Grace Hanadarko was an awesome example of a strong, modern woman, and they were glad to see this person portrayed in a series. Surprised because I found her annoying beyond anything I had ever seen. Another surprise was the consistent, unrelenting affection from the people in her life that she generally - with some exceptions - treated with disdain. It occurred to me that this show was a great example of unconditional love. Not from just one person, but from an entire crew. The excesses in this show were so extreme that I often wanted to stop watching all together, but I kept hoping that there would be something recognizable as real life up coming. There never was, but the unrelenting love has stayed with me. Would that we all had even one love like that in our lives.
