Consodering that this is supposed to be a remake, this should be a 4. Where is the music, the original action and the overall atmosphere?
Why remove this, but keeping most of the narrative? This could easily have been an 8, if done correctly.
However, consodering this to be a new film with a basic plot, it deserves a 7 - so I give it a 6.
