It's humor is dark. The cast is decent but the leading Mr Tudyk... Some of his parts (4 episodes in) have made me burst out laughing. And some can be pretty dark but its all working together pretty well so far. He's so good. Carry's the show entirely.
It does feel like it would be better suited to a full release all at once. But being 'syfy' its weekly.. and because its good and on syfy, the unfortunate chance of it being cancelled early is very high.. If you're a network capable of canceling 'The expanse' and killing off stargate.. well, good luck to all series that pass through this saw mill of a network. All the shows are trees ready for pulping unless they jam up the machinery like Battlestar gallatica managed to do. Might be the only series I know of from syfy that ever got to finish its run besides the original stargate (both others cancelled early)
