Cillian Murphy is Neil, who runs a video store. (remember video stores?) Lucy Liu is Violet, who comes into the shop; she's wacky and treats him like dirt, so of course, he's immediately turned on. They have some weird dates. And he follows her to find out where she lives. Takes a while to get going. Like Clerks. Some funny lines in here. Neil is down to earth, and is content just watching movies, while Violet is always on the go. Her hobby is swimming in neighborhood pools. And playing pranks. Constantly. And of course, some go very wrong. But Neil likes the thrill and shock of what happens next. Even when it turns out badly. Written and directed by Paul Soter. The first film he directed. Murphy currently has another film in production. He also had one that shows "abandoned" in 2016. Wonder what happened... funding problem?
