Review of Rebel

Rebel (1973)

Warning: Spoilers
At best, this 75 minute movie is one of the most recycled movies of the 20th century. The original No Place to Hide, was a short movie at best. With Stallone's success, this movie evolved with 10 minutes of stock footage from the Vietnam was era and multiple slow motion and still tracks to help bump up the overall length of this movie. Re-edited, it was retitled to Rebel. In my opinion, it looks like more footage was filmed separately to add to the storyline and to appear to the audience that this is an actually feature film. Filmed in New York, Florida and California, I have reason to believe that this movie feels like 3 different movies because it was filmed 3 separate times in order to make something solid like a movie should be. Instead, the movie Rainbo, the spoof based off this crap of a storyline is a much more entertaining and complete movie. Bottom line, it is a treat to witness a pre-Rocky Stallone in his youth. Other than this, there is no reason to watch this hot mess of an incomplete movie.
